We’re seeking a European Sales Development Manager to lead business development efforts, driving growth through market penetration, technical promotion, and exceptional service to new and existing customers. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing sustainable business opportunities that support ambitious revenue and growth targets.
Roles and Responsibilities

Generate new business through research and development of assigned companies, applications, and territories.

Build strong relationships with assigned companies to gain a deeper understanding of their business needs and identify growth opportunities.

Achieve all agreed personal targets for appointments, research calls, and revenue generated from allocated accounts and new business.

Develop structured account management plans to support the growth and development of customers.

Attend scheduled sales and operational meetings to review new opportunities, financial results, and future sales objectives.

Work with the agreed pricing strategy, aiming to exceed target prices to achieve optimal price and margin.

Produce all necessary reports, including customer visit reports, providing clear recommendations, actions, and follow-through.

Stay up to date with market trends, developments, and competitor activities to ensure the business remains progressive and competitive.

Periodically prepare and contribute to market assessments and strategic plans.

Work closely with the finance department to manage cash flow, currency dynamics, and mitigate credit risks, avoiding bad debts.

Provide real-time feedback on business developments to ensure the team remains fully aware of opportunities and risks.
Essential Experience

Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or account management within an international or European market.

Experience developing and executing structured account management and business development plans.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work within pricing strategies to maximise margin and revenue.

Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets, including appointments, research calls, and revenue goals.

Experience preparing professional sales reports, customer visit reports, and market assessments.

Solid understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and strategic business development.

Experience working closely with finance teams to manage cash flow, currency dynamics, and credit risks.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Willingness to travel across Europe to meet customers and attend business meetings.
